Abstract

The University of Medical Sciences of Havana is immersed in the Institutional Evaluation process for the certification of the quality management of its processes. In this sense, the Enrique Cabrera Faculty of Medical Sciences plans to contribute to the quality indicators according to the National Accreditation Board, which will allow it to aspire to a category of excellence. However, in the Medical Informatics department some weaknesses have been identified that threaten the achievement of such objectives. In this way, the objective of the paper is to design a proposal from strategic planning that favors raising the quality indicators in the key result areas; For this, a mixed type methodology was applied as an emergent one for the integral study of the results. The latter expressed in the improvement of the work system, its implementation and the evaluation of verifiable indicators at the end of 2022.
