Abstract

This work is based on the necessity of solving limitations that the first year students of Geologic Engineering have in the communicative competence in English language, reflected in dissatisfactions given in the execution of the social expectations in connection with the formation and development of oral skill as a fundamental ability in the communicative process. For solving this problem it is proposed a set of learning tasks to form and develop oral skill in the General English subject in the first year students of Geologic Engineering in the Mining and Metallurgy Institute in Moa. The results are sustained with the application of this set of learning tasks in the first year students of Geologic Engineering, it was evidenced that this set established a way to improve the formation and development of English language oral skill related to communicative situation to the daily life. The experienced of this work with the set of learning tasks has allowed checking its feasibility in the improvement of communicative competence of first year students of Geologic Engineering, related to formation and development of oral skill.
