Abstract

The studies of university graduates as an indicator of the relevance, constitute fundamental to the planning and development of educational processes in higher education, for the generation of professionals possessing skills geared to social transformation information capable of driving innovative proposals related to the lines of investigation required to achieve the objectives and goals of the National Plan for Good Living. The purpose of the paper is to assess the methodological and theoretical conception traits that characterized the study of graduates developed in Eloy Alfaro Lay University of Manabí, to determine the level of relevance of this institution in terms of the demands and requirements of society. From the results it is concluded that a rethinking of university-society, which involves changes, innovations and profound changes, involving commitment to a quality education ideas to produce graduates with skills to investigate, innovate, create necessary and develop actions to the demands that society demands of good living.
