Abstract

In this paper the implementation of the analysis of fake papers as a strategy for the academic literacy of students of political science and international relations at the Universidad del CEMA, Argentina, is described. The objective pursued is to expose the impact of this didactic proposal in the development of writing skills in the context of professional training, to promote the participation of students in disciplinary discursive communities. This is an article in which the qualitative method is implemented, based on the analysis of textual productions of the participants in a written communication course during the first semesters of 2022 and 2023. Among the main results, it is noted that students exhibited a significant improvement in detecting frequent errors in academic articles, particularly in the structure and relationship between their sections. It is concluded that the inclusion of these types of non-conventional didactic strategies is relevant, as their articulation with other training activities positively affects productions, promoting the development of critical and reflective writing.
