PROJECTION AND IMPACT OF THE CENTERS OF STUDIES OF HIGHER EDUCATION: EXPERIENCES IN THE UNIVERSITY OF ORIENTE.

The current debate, from various theoretical positions, raises as essential the investigation of the fundamental problems of Pedagogy of Higher Education, as a way to raise the quality of the process of perfecting the training of a professional, able to respond to the demands of the social needs of the contemporary age. It is thus that the training of professionals involves the development of advanced scientific knowledge that allows to solve the essential problems that arise in the field of professional action in an active, independent and creative. This requires substantial changes in the management of the training process, and therefore, to mean the Pedagogy of Higher Education as an indispensable scientific discipline in the contemporary world, which allows us to delimit the challenges of implementing a process of profound transformation that transcends the current and limited curricular conceptions. This supports the need to develop research centers and postgraduate training in universities that systematize pedagogical experiences, but at the same time develop research and generalize their results, so that these centers do not become mere executors of the established or processors of information, but in development managers, in the broader sense of culture, through scientific research and the development of scientific thinking in the university community.
