PROCEDURE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROFESSIONAL MOTIVATION AS A MANAGEMENT COMPETENCE IN EDUCATION
LA MOTIVACIÓN PROFESIONAL: COMPETENCIA DE LA DIRECCIÓN EN EDUCACIÓN

Professional motivation is important for the achievement of efficient workers, with high competence, in any of the spheres in which it is developed. In Education, it is decisive in the conduct of all processes, especially in educational management. As a result of a characterization carried out on leaders of the educational sphere, by a team of the research project "Education Management Competence" of the University of Las Tunas, some shortcomings were identified that affect the good performance of their managerial role. Among these shortcomings, those referring to their motivation, especially professional motivation, stood out. This article presents a procedure based on the use of the scientific method, which emphasizes motivation as a Management Competency in Education, as a way of contributing to the preparation and better performance of managers in the territory. Indicators and levels of development are provided that can be used to measure such competence.
