CONCEPT MAPS IN TEACHING PHYSICS: AN ALTERNATIVE TO DEVELOP THE STUDENTS LEARNING IN GEOLOGICAL ENGINEERING

The teaching of the Physics in the engineering courses plays an important paper in the development of the logical thought of the future engineers, however the assimilation of this discipline is complicated for most students that don't have intentions of being physical, hence who do not have the motivation to meet the required learning objectives in their curricula. These and other irregularities impact negatively in the development of formative process of these students, they evidence the necessity to look for new didactic strategies - methodological that allow the students to appropriate of the knowledge of Physics to achieve the appropriate cognitive level and consequently to assimilate the knowledge of the profession.
In the Higher Mining Metallurgical Institute, the career of geologic engineering is studied whose study object is the evaluation of geological environment and its resources for their rational exploitation is studied. In her qualitative and quantitative methods of exploration and prospecting of locations are used among those that stand out: method gravimetric, electromagnetic, seismic, among other that are based in laws and physical principles. In the work it intends the elaboration of conceptual maps of one of these topics like methodology to build the knowledge of the Physics, with the aim of developing active learning and its impact with the profile of geological engineering is proposed
