The development of autonomy has a great meaning to the formation of the students’ reflexive thinking. This research is aimed at finding a solution to the insufficiencies presented in terms of the students’ autonomy which limit the effectiveness of the teaching-learning process of foreign languages. Consequently, there is a proposal of a methodology with a theoretical and an interventive component. The theoretical aspect contains the successive levels of autonomy, with its corresponding features for the learning of foreign languages of the professional of this specialty, what enriches the process taking place during preservice. Regarding the practical contribution, its relevance is in the instrumental component of the methodology, designed by stages with their procedures, where there is a special distinction for the self-access project for the teaching-learning of foreign languages in the referred major.
