Abstract

The teaching learning process of mathematical modeling by means of ordinary differential equations (ODE) represents a challenge in the university mathematical education. A way to do more effective that process in the context of the educative practice in the universities requires of new approaches as alternative to the traditional way of reinforcement and development of skills, as the competence approach. The work characterizes the referred approach in its general features in order to offer differentiator elements form the approach supporting rector elements as objectives and skills, as well as it is valuing the potentialities of Study Plan E of the Mathematical Career in Cuba for the teaching of modelling with the help of od
