Abstract

In this article, we seek to gather, organize and analyze the reports of experience and research about the use of different pedagogical strategies for the study of Entomology in Basic Education, in order to present a documentary study of how Entomology has been worked on at different levels of education. Therefore, we adopted qualitative analysis strategies to analyze the data collected through the search of keywords related to the investigated theme. We verified that the researchers have developed different strategies for the teaching of Entomology, and they are concerned with the conservation of species or natural environments, in addition to the proposals related to the knowledge of the morphology of insects, or even to explore other concepts, such as the difference between concepts of evolution and metamorphosis. We conclude that the pedagogical strategies mentioned in this article may be feasible, but there is a need of rigorously studies based on theoretical, psychological or sociological references so that inferences are possible in the sense of to analyze the contributions of these resources in student’s learning.
