STATISTICAL INFORMATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT

With the purpose of collaborating with the process of continuous improvement of Cuban Higher Education and with the fulfillment of the objectives set by the Ministry of Higher Education, the work shows statistical data related to the teaching-learning process that constitute indicators that allow assess the characteristics of this process. These indicators are suitable to be used in university management and for the purposes of both institutional and career improvement, therefore, they constitute a valuable instrument for the different academic authorities, allowing them to describe and know the educational context, define objectives and adopt the appropriate strategies to achieve them. In turn, the analysis and interpretation of these figures make it possible to make changes in the ways of doing in the training process and establish actions that provide the achievement of academic success. The data shown here were taken from statistical information in the Department of Information and Statistics of the University of Las Tunas.
