The development of artificial intelligence, its history and future challenges

This study addressed important aspects of Artificial Intelligence (AI), including definitions given by various authors. It also analyzed the most important facts in the history of AI in the world and in Brazil, as well as the main challenges of AI in the present and future. Some of the most commonly used AI applications today were also analyzed. Several studies conducted by prestigious researchers dealing with AI-related topics were evaluated. The use of AI today is a reality and is used daily by all types of audiences, but it is important to know how to use it efficiently in a way that contributes to people's education. The methodology used in the study was the search for information on specialized websites. The results obtained demonstrate that AI is widely used by a large number of users who use it daily; it allows things to be done faster; large volumes of data can be processed and analyzed more quickly and thoroughly
