Abstract

Since the Lumiere brothers discovered the cinematograph in 1895 and up to the present, this spectacle of images has captivated millions of people around the world.
The people of Las Tunas were not exempt from this adventure, due to the need for a greater promotion to the cinema debate and to develop the cinematographic culture of the territory, a festival of cinema appreciation emerged in 1994: Cinemazul, since its emergence a unique event in the country and Latin America for focusing their activities on a film club competition.
The Cinemazul Cinematographic Appreciation Provincial Festival is the main promoter of film clubs and film debates. It fosters the exchange between cinema clubs in the country and the main elements of the event, such as cultural programming and its promotion, affect the development of the film clubs in Las Tunas.
