Abstract

The purpose of this article is to highlight the results of the research related to the influence that insufficient management of responsible sexuality has on the academic performance of high school students of the “Carlos A. García” Educational Unit of Junín Canton. In this study we analyzed the variables with scientific support and their respective foundations, which contain the development of theories related to sexuality education and academic performance. This study had a quantitative and qualitative approach, in the search to verify the problem from data taken directly from reality. Bibliographic research is used in which the variables under study are defined conceptually and operationally, and field research is carried out that records information directly from those involved and in the place where students, teachers and parents are located subjects of analysis of this work that are considered as the units of analysis. It also demonstrates the analysis and interpretation of data, which arise from the application of the instruments, which explains each of the results obtained to reach the conclusion that students do not have a good orientation in the management of a responsible sexuality for part of teachers and parents. The application of a guide for teachers is recommended. The guide is called the strengthening of students' sexuality training by optimizing academic performance through a guide to teachers of the Baccalaureate Educational Units, which is constituted in the research proposal.
