Abstract

The present investigation was based on the development of a methodological guide to assist the learning of English in students of the second semester of the career of Forest Engineering, of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences. In accordance with the foregoing, the problem of this investigation, is based in knowing how effective is the use of oral are the oral and written authentic materials in the process of learning English in the students of the second semester of the career of Forestry in the State Technical University of Quevedo. The purpose of this research was to improve the performance of the students of the University of the UTEQ for which a methodological guide was created where the use of the oral and written authentic materials were the key to an effective learning English. This research was framed in the Type a quasi-experimental approach inductive-deductive method; the relevance of this research is considered to be of a kind applied and bibliographic-documentary, in addition to the diagnosis was used field research of descriptive character, The methods used in this research were the socio-educational quali-quantitative, bibliographic-documentary, descriptive research, correlational, in addition were used to know the results the t-student, SPSS and Excel for data tabulation and the plotting of the results of the diagnostic study. It was concluded that between one of the alternatives for the improvement of learning English was the design of a methodological guide addressed to students and teachers for the implementation of implementation of the use of authentic material oral and written, with the implementation of this guide, students acquired knowledge… acquired knowledge in a shorter time with the help of the different oral and written authentic materials applied as teaching materials, which was essential to optimize the process of learning English.
