Abstract

Two decades of the 21st century have passed and environmental problems continue to compromise life on the planet, including that of man, a situation that asserts that today is marked by a global multi-crisis. In this sense, much has been done by politicians, scientists and educators, among others; however, it is not enough, more and more prepared professionals are required, such as social communicators, who can raise public awareness. In the social communicator Training Model, the following social demand is evident: The training of a professional with a clear awareness of their role in society based on social development (MES, 2017, p.7-8). Demand that expresses the need for environmental training based on education for sustainable development. It is also necessary that students know how to carry out intervention and transformation actions in their professional and/or scientific activity to solve practical environment problems contextualized en the object of the profession. The implementation of the curricular strategy of the social communicator, Training of values for environment education limits the comprehensive and strategic analysis of the environmental training of students, in addition, it restricts the fulfillment of the social aspiration of training a professional with values and attitudes that promote the formation of an environmental culture trough the consequent relationship man-nature-society. Therefore it is interest in this research to carry out a study about how been treated in the undergraduate training process of the social communicator.
