Abstract

The assessment of digital literacy has gained relevance in recent years. Therefore, this systematic review had as a main purpose to identify which population has been evaluated the most in terms of digital literacy and to describe how this construct has been assessed. In terms of methodology, the phases of the process followed were those described by Bettany-Saltikov and Zawacki-Richter, Kerres, Bedenlier, Bond and Buntis. The systematic review was performed through the Redalyc, Dialnet, SciELO and ERIC data bases and were chosen a total of 33 studies which met the eligibility requirements. The results indicated that nine out of ten instruments evaluate digital literacy based on typical performance tests and that the most evaluated population was university students. The importance of assess digital literacy using objective instruments such as tests of maximum performance is concluded. It also stands out as an area of opportunity the assess of high-school and secondary-school students' digital literacy.
