THE TEACHING-METHODOLOGICAL TRAINING OF THE ENGLISH TEACHER: A FUNDAMENTAL WAY FOR FORMING A GENERAL CULTURE IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

The present wok deals with the social need of the didactic and methodological preparation of the English language teachers of Junior High School, as a way to contribute to the formation of students' general culture of this education. This formation represents a priority of the Cuban State, that is why, the formative objectives of this education have their background in the formation of values, which require some demands such as, teacher's example, which should be present in every moment, school organization, which should promote an educative behaviour, based on discipline, order, beauty, quietness, the lesson, with a purpose and an acceptable political and ideological approach, directed to the adequate treatment of students to achieve a general and integrated culture. As a conclusion, it is assumed that the didactic and methodological preparation of the English language teacher constitutes a significant way for his professional performance in order to get the objective of Junior High Education: a general integrated culture.
