Authors

Abstract

The work presented is part of Task No. 4: “Curriculum Design and Evaluation of the E plans. Proposal for its improvement” of the Research Project of Sectorial Program number 045, “Proposal for improvement lines for Cuban higher education derived from the study of the development of professionals in Cuba, 2010-2020”. The definition of the concept of continuous curriculum improvement was one of the contributions of the 1962 Cuban University Reform, aimed at meeting the demands of the country's socioeconomic development at all times. In the process of continuous curriculum improvement, training process monitoring and curriculum evaluation play a significant role. These processes are closely and complementary and are fundamental to academic management and decision-making. This paper aims to reveal the contribution that training process monitoring, carried out in the universities of the Ministry of Higher Education, makes to curriculum evaluation, ensuring the feedback necessary to keep the curriculum updated according to the needs of the educational system and society.
